IN Stock /Usually ships in 1-2 business days ".....well, actually the EA4500 just goes right through them. Setup was easy for me, I consider myself average, but some simple steps were left out of the instructions that might not be obvious to beginners. There is a download that will take a few minutes so be patient.
Our range was improved by about 30%, also saw about the same increase in speed compared to our old D-Link DIR-615. Our house is an old, big house with lots of nooks and crannies, so many spots had no coverage without an extender. The EA4500 covers our whole house with no need for an extender. Because of the great range make sure your network is secure. Have not had a chance yet to see how it handles more than one device at the same time but should know soon and will update.
Adding other devices is actually very easy and there is even a guest password. There are a lot of features that I have not had a chance to explore yet but will
update when I do. A very good router is a must have with more and more devices and everyday appliances adding wireless features. Hands down, best router I have ever had, very, very highly recommended.
Almost a month later. Still have not explored the advanced features yet but now have added several devices, including 2 PCs, several phones and an Ipad. Have had 4 devices on at one time and no noticeable change in the level of service but the thing that has amazed me the most is that I HAVE NOT HAD TO RESET THE EA4500 OR MY MODEM AT ALL SINCE I GOT THE EA4500! I am using a Cisco modem supplied by my provider. Took the Ipad outside and noticed no change in service within a few feet from the house, sitting on the steps. This thing rocks, get it, everything is going wireless, a must have. ....."
